The University of The Gambia Students’ Union, upon staging the finest Face of UTG edition, takes this opportunity to extend appreciation to all contributors to this well-produced event. Such a glamorous event would not have been possible without the staunch efforts of the Face of UTG 2022 Organizing Committee, Partners, Sponsors, Supporters, Well-wishers, Artists, Judges and Participants of the Face of UTG 2022 in their respective capacities.
It is true to state that the previous weeks were exasperating, but the spirit to stage the most-organized pageantry in the history of the UTGSU kept us aflame. The massive commitment to duty, service, innovation and desire for success kept us buoyant amidst storm of challenges.
The Face of UTG is not only chanted due to its glaring settings, but also the quality and sequence of moments it comes with. This only came to life with efforts from the ablest Production Team led by Mr. Abou Jabbie of Biddy’s Promotion. It must be stated that Mr. Jabbie and his team (Isatou Jaiteh, Lamin Sarr, Oumie Awa Bah, Fatou M. Secka and Hawa K. Ceesay) selflessly served UTGSU with due diligence and beyond ordinary expectations.
Partnerships are nice, but with Buddy’s Promotion, it is the nicest. The Union expresses delight and enormous appreciation to Biddy’s Promotions for crowning and decorating the Kings and Queens amongst other great actions.
This opportunity is equally seized to genuinely thank one of the leading real estate agencies in the country – Darboe Jula’s Real Estate Agency for serving as the Chief Patron and Guest of Honor of Face of UTG 2022. The Agency provided the winners with lands valued at half a million Dalasis (cumulatively).
Special thanks is extended to University of The Gambia for always having the back of its students; M. S. Designs and Printing for the amazing printings; Janko’s Creation for the tie and die materials; S Bah’s Organic for the hair treatments; Blaq Scissors for the creative designs; and all other stakeholders.
To the contestants who had sacrificed their time, resources, and high-valued personal matters to answer to the call of the Union by representing their sub-associations, we equally congratulate you all for taking such a bold step and demonstrating great patriotism in the service of your schools. We celebrate every single one of you.
We equally express our fervent gratitude to sub-association leaders and students across the university for taking ownership of the event and coming out in their large numbers to support the Union and their representatives.
While the Union congratulates Mr. Bernard Gomez of Law Students’ Association on becoming the first ever * Master of UTG* and Miss Naffisatou Ceesay of Social Sciences and Humanities Students’ Association on emerging as the Face of UTG 2022, the Union reaffirms its commitment to empowering and serving students with utmost dignity and focus.
